Alika Forklift Bursary Program: Empowering Unemployed Youth in Benoni
Alika Training is dedicated to creating pathways for young people in Benoni and surrounding areas to gain the skills they need for a successful career. Our Alika Forklift Bursary Program is designed exclusively for unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who are based in Benoni and surrounding areas like Daveyton, TwaTwa, Wattville, and Kingsway.
We are proud to offer this 100% free training program with no hidden costs or charges. This opportunity is open to all races, and is designed specifically for youth who are unemployed and not currently attending any school, college, or other educational institution. This is a chance for those who have struggled to find work or continue their education to gain practical, hands-on skills and improve their employability.
However, it is important to note the following strict criteria for eligibility:
- You must be unemployed and between 18 and 24 years old.
- You must reside in Benoni or the surrounding areas: Daveyton, TwaTwa, Wattville, Kingsway, or nearby communities.
- You must not be attending any school, college, or any other educational institution at the time of application.
- No stipend or financial support is provided; the training is 100% free, but no allowances, travel, or accommodation are covered.
- Alika Training bursaries are open to all races, with the primary focus on empowering unemployed youth in our community.
- No exceptions will be made to these criteria.
- Alika Training's management decision is final in the selection of bursary recipients.
How to Apply for the Alika Forklift Bursary Program
If you meet the eligibility requirements, here’s how you can apply for the Alika Forklift Bursary Program:

Eligibility: Make sure you are between 18 and 24 years old, unemployed, and living in Benoni or the surrounding areas (Daveyton, TwaTwa, Wattville, Kingsway).

Application Process:
- Step 1: Hand-deliver your CV along with a motivation letter to our office at 71 Woburn Avenue, Benoni.
- Step 2: At the office, you will be required to fill out an application form.
- Step 3: Our team will review your application, and if you are selected, you will be contacted for the next steps.
Please note that Alika Training does not work with any agents and is not affiliated with any political party. All applications must be submitted directly to our office as described above.

Alumni Success: 2021 Learnership Program Graduates
In 2021, Alika Training successfully completed a Supply Chain Learnership Program, which saw a 78% graduation rate despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program, funded by the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA), provided accredited training in Supply Chain Management and was a significant success in helping young people find employment in the logistics and distribution sectors.

Upcoming Learnerships for 2024: Apply for Funding
Looking forward to 2024, we are preparing to launch new Supply Chain Learnerships at both the National Certificate and National Diploma levels. These programs will offer accredited training in logistics, supply chain management, and warehouse operations, providing young people with a clear pathway to careers in these fast-growing sectors.
