JOB VACANCY - Lodge Manager - Komatipoort Mpumalanga South Africa.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lodge Manager to join our team at a picturesque lodge situated in the beautiful surroundings of Komatipoort.
Job Description:
• Oversee the overall management and operations of the lodge, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by consistently delivering exceptional service and attending to guest needs and concerns.
• Supervise and train staff members, including recruitment, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff, adhering to all health, safety, and security protocols.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates, increase revenue, and enhance guest experiences.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the lodge, manage online bookings, and maintain positive relationships with travel agencies and tour operators.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of lodge facilities, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively, maintaining a high level of professionalism and guest satisfaction.
• Stay updated with industry trends, local attractions, and competitor activities to provide guests with relevant information and recommendations.
• Conduct regular stock taking to ensure accurate inventory control and minimize wastage.
• Implement efficient stock management systems and procedures, including proper storage, rotation, and utilization of stock.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and restaurant staff to monitor food and beverage inventory, minimizing stock discrepancies and spoilage.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry or a similar role.
• Proven track record of successful lodge or hotel management, demonstrating excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of lodge operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in reservation systems and hotel management software.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Strong administrative skills and computer literacy.
• Valid driver's license.
